Founded in 2020 during the global health crisis by filmmaker Karolina Bomba, the World Film Festival in Cannes – Remember the Future has established itself through a unique hybrid artistic model.

Combining digital visibility with prestigious events in Cannes, it offers monthly awards and a submission platform open 24/7. The festival brings together a worldwide community across more than 190 film categories.
This appeal is inseparable from the trade name and brand Remember the Future, under which the festival has been developed and promoted.
Innovation and Ethics: The Golden Firefly and AI
The festival was the first in the world to establish, as early as 2020, the “Best Artificial Intelligence Film” category. For several years, the institution has regularly received and awarded works — feature films, short films, documentaries, music videos, screenplays and music — created entirely by AI or with its assistance, inviting artists to “explore artificial intelligence as a fully-fledged creative partner.”
This long-standing expertise is accompanied by rigorous ethical vigilance, placing respect for copyright at the highest level of its selection criteria.
This vision is embodied by the Golden Firefly. Far more than a statuette, this emblem comes to life as a hologram during events, and as a 3D animation assisted by artificial intelligence, symbolizing the alliance between cinematic poetry, futurism and technological innovation.
